Some phone charging cables have on two wires in the cable for supplying power to the phone instead of the 4 wires required for power and to communicate with a computer. NOTE: If you decide to use a USB-C to USB-A cable like I did make sure it is a data cable and not just a charging cable. It’s been able to stream HD movies using the Ethernet and HDMI ports without any noticeable flicker or lag. Windows 10 recognized all of the devices on the dock without issue. I didn’t have a USB-C port on my laptop, so I used the USB-C cable that came with my phone to attach it to a USB 3.0 port. 
The Belkin USB-C Dock was fairly easy to setup. Having to switch between applications can be problematic. Using the USB-C Dock allowed me to take advantage of having more than one monitor to work from.
I waited because I wanted to install Windows 10 so Turbo Tax would work.
